Abstract

Sustainable manufacturing enterprise is considered to be a new concept regarding survival of manufacturing enterprise and it can be also considered as one of the most important solutions to deal with the next industrial revolution. The pathways of sustainability of manufacturing enterprises are a systemic approach that simultaneously determines the essentials of sustainability and how they can be aggregated. The main objective in this paper is how to introduce the concepts of sustainability to guide manufacturing enterprises analysts and designers. These essentials are: international issues; contemporary issues; innovative products; reconfigurable manufacturing systems; manufacturing strategies; performance measurements; and flexible organization management. Based on these essentials, the sustainable model will be analyzed and presented and the sustainability assessment will be measured. This research shows that the pathways towards sustainability of manufacturing enterprises are multi-dimensional aspects.
