Elliptic function solutions of the Sine-Gordon equation and the Dodd-Bullough equation

Abstract

We have derived the solitary wave solutions of the Sine-Gordon equation and the Dodd-Bullough equation using the properties of Weierstrass and Jacobian elliptic functions. It has been shown that the invariants of the Weierstrass elliptic functions play a key role in the existence of the solutions.
