Comprehensive reliability analysis of prestressed concrete beams

Abstract

Using second moment methods, the reliability with respect to several limit states for seventy three prestressed concrete beams is assessed. These beams that are extensively used in the construction industry have been designed according to the ACI 318-89 requirements. Ranges of reliability index for each limit state are given.
