A study of the partial differential equations governing the motion of fluids and solute or contaminants in subsurface media; steady and transient flow through porous media; estimation of aquifer properties; isotropy and heterogeneity; well and well-field design; Numerical simulation and modeling of groundwater flow and contaminant transport in groundwater; introduction to geostatistics and stochastic aspects of groundwater flow; application of state-of-the-art computer models, such as MODFLOW and MT3DMS with GMS interface, to solve real-world problems.
