ملخص

The Triassic of the Central-European basin represents a typical marine-influenced terrigenous sequence. The Cretaceous succession of the Songliao basin is made up of marine-related fluvial-lacustrine deposits. Both basins share the following characteristics: 1) They are largescale cratonic sag basin successions. 2) The basins were connected with paleooceans. 3) The lithology of the basins consists of interlayed mudstone, siltstone, carbonates and gypsum/halite. 4) Typical marine fossils are rare, instead, brackish and/or high salinity fossils are abundant. 5) The δ34S, δ18O, δ13C values of autogenetic minerals in the transgressive beds, Sr/Ba, (Ca +Mg)/(Si+Al), (Zn+Ni)/Ga values and index of sulfur deposit flux are distinctly higher than those in the adjcent layers.
