Solitary wave solutions to shallow water waves arising in fluid dynamics

In this paper, we apply two solitary wave ansatze in terms of sech^p(v) and tanh^p(v), to obtain kink and periodic solutions of some important nonlinear wave equations such as the general equal width wave equation (GEWE), general regularized long wave equation (GRLW) and the general improved Korteweg-de Vries equation (GIKdV). By means of these methods, we have the advantage of reducing the nonlinear problem to a system of algebraic equations, that can be solved by any computerized packages.
