ملخص
In this paper, the FDTD method is applied to simulate metamaterials of double negative permittivity and permeability. The z-transform is used to incorporate the metamaterial constitutive relationship into the FDTD algorithms. Causality of the wave propagation as well as energy enhancement in DNG medium are then numerically demonstrated, which agree with the theory. The results show that the FDTD method with the z-transform incorporated is well suitable for modeling the double negative (DNG) materials.
