ملخص

The algorithm presented by Manhire and Jenkins [1] for probabilistically simulating the operation of power systems which includes multiple assigned-energy units has been extended. Such assigned-energy units are conventional hydroelectric plants and, under certain circumstances, nuclear units or conventional thermal units with limited fuel supply or with limits on emissions due to environmental considerations. The following improvements in the algorithm have been made: (i) clustering of the assigned-energy units competing for the same, or part of the same position, in the loading order is properly accomplished (ii) the concept of Equivalent Assigned Energy has been formulated (iii) a binomial method is suggested for assigning energy properly in a multi-unit reservoir system.
