Rawḍat al-taʻrīf bi-al-ḥubb al-Sharīf (Introduction to Divine Love) by Lisan al-Din ibn al-Khatib Al-Gharnati represents a literary value in the Andalusian prose literature, as it is an outcome from a person who had lived as ascetic and Sufi in the Andalusian city of Granada. Another importance of this author is his new methodology, in which he sought to make love in an imaginary image in the form of a tree, the soil of which is the human soul. This study aims to address the term "divine love" used in this book, and its degrees according to an approach that Ibn Al-Khatib adopted, relying on its effect on the lover. The study follows a thematic approach that is based on "observing the idea, or the dominant message in the literary work."
