This study aimed to shed light on the attitude of the Khalifa Yazid bin Mu'awiya (680-684 AD/ 60- 64 AH) toward the people in Hijaz. It also aimed to disclose the influential forces that affected Yazid bin Mu'awiya’s attitude toward the people in Hijaz through the historical approach based on collecting historical narrations and analyzing them in order to reach a conclusion. The results of this study showed that the attitude of Yazid bin Mu’awiya toward Hijaz people was influenced by a number of forces, such as the political opposition by the Hijazis, the lining of the Khalifa and his entourage, the workers and governors, and the tribal leadership.
