Abstract

Flow in zones of complete saturation around a solitary source is studied. The area of the source saturated flow has in the known analytical solutions infinite extent, though it is clear that evaporation, capillar forces, transpiration, etc. may lead for some soils and source power values to formation of completely saturated zones of the bubble-type. Assumption on linear dependence of inflow-outflow with depression curve as function of horizontal and (or) vertical coordinates is just usual in the above-mentioned problem solutions on flows in areas of complete saturation. The essence of the solution proposed consists in that the form of the depression curve-isobar is derived from the condition of the minimum of the positive pressure area, limited by this curve.
