N2 - This paper reviews analytical methods, instrumental developments and applications for derivatization of amines and amino acids with 7-Chloro-4-nitrobenzoxadiazole (NBD-Cl) and 4-Fluoro-7-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole (NBD-F) using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Discussion of the literature related to the application from 2001 to 2010 is presented.
