Synthesis and X-ray crystal structures of mononuclear complexes of 1,3-bis(8-quinolyloxy)propane

Abstract

Synthesis and x-ray crystal structures of molecular complexes of 1,3-bis(8-quinolyloxy)propane were discussed. This mononuclear complexes with silver nitrate, copper chloride and nickel chloride were used. It was found that this complex was prepared by the reaction of 1,3-dibromopropane and 8-hydroxyquinoline and by changing the solvent to dimethylformamide and lowering the reaction temperature to 90°C.
