Abstract

This paper is concerned with the boundary stabilization problem of an overhead crane with infinite memory. We show, under some assumptions of the memory kernel, that the problem is well-posed in the sense of semigroups theory. Furthermore, the uniform exponential stability of the solutions to the system is established by means of the frequency-domain method.
