Abstract
A SO4≈SU2, I×SU2, GI symmetry is suggested for the classification of dinucleon (Formula presented.) and (Formula presented.) resonances. Transformation properties of bilinear nucleon fields under the SO4-group have been used as a guide to assign hadrons to irreducible representations. Relevant consequences of the symmetry on hadron physics are discussed.
