Abstract

Soil samples have been collected in the vicinity of industries around Lakamanahalli area near Dharwad city, Karnataka. The samples were analysed for trace elements concentration, like Cd, Pb, Ni, Cu, Zn, Mn, Fe and Cr. The extent of pollution by these trace elements was done comparison with relatively non-polluted soil sample. The study reveal that the two-fold concentration of trace elements than the non-polluted area. Further, correlation coefficient and t-test values showed highly positive and significant at 5 % level.
