Abstract

Thermal radiation influence on conjugate heat transfer is analyzed in a porous medium. The porous medium is assumed to be placed inside the annulus encompassing the two radii of annulus. The porous medium contains a solid object in the form of a vertical wall at inner radius of the annulus. Radiation is approximated using Taylor's series. The equations are solved numerically using finite element method. Various results such as the fluid flow behavior and temperature contours are presented pertaining to that of geometric as well as the physical parameters.
