Abstract

A combining rule for calculating hydrate formation temperature in the presence of both electrolytes and alcohol (glycol) has been developed. The hydrate temperature in the presence of pure water is calculated; this temperature is then separately corrected for the presence of electrolytes and alcohols. The average of the absolute temperature deviations for predicting hydrate forming conditions for CO2 in mixtures where both electrolytes and alcohols (glycols) are present was 0.41 K.
