Abstract

In this paper, we present numerical assessments of vegetation land cover that is located nearby recharge dams in Oman. The study focuses on the use of remote sensing through retrieved imagery data using the Operational Line Imager (OLI) sensor of Landsat-Among many other popular water dams in the Sultanate, this numerical study investigates the impact of two nearby dams on surroundings vegetation land cover. Based on the numerical analysis over the period between 2013 and 2020, many interesting features of vegetation land cover were observed, including vegetation land and dams' water surface areas. An interesting observation from imagery data of the studied water dams is that such dams have been utilized well for the suggested study period.
