Abstract

Confronted with a large variety and a rapid evolution of techniques, methods and technologies of software development, it is almost impossible to define a steady development strategy. To overcome this situation, it is necessary to consider reactivity to changes within multi-method Software Engineering Environments (SEE). We propose in this paper a multi-method Environment that should have the advantage of sharing the design products, independently of the method used for their development. The approach adopted consists on the one hand, in the construction of a Methodological Information Base (MIB) regrouping the description of methods (meta-models) and links between them, and on the other hand, in the integration of the MIB in a Software Engineering Environment.
