Abstract
This chapter presents the model of coexisting Arab Islamic Oman with its Sunnis, Shiites, and Ibadis, Urban or Bedouins, races from authentic Arab tribes and different cultural backgrounds from Asia and Africa, men and women, the leaders and the people, the geographical structure, the ancient civilization before Christ, and the modern global evolution extending to more than half-century and its residents from different countries of the world. Oman is a global model for the tolerance and universality of religion, striving to preserve human dignity, rebuild the land, reform, promote scientific breakthroughs, spread health consciousness, equality, and political and economic systems and values. Today, Oman is the best evidence that refutes the misconceptions about the Islamic religion and its lack of tolerance, universality, and mercy. The chapter will showcase an Arab Islamic model in the Sultanate of Oman that has supported sports since ancient times. The state has models that can be based on inclusive international standards. This chapter will later discuss the adequacy of pointing out the differences between systems, participation in competitive sports, and its impact on the opportunities for Muslims to play a part in global competitions.
