Abstract

This paper addressed the impacts of environmental factors on the storage of semi-active records in the Sultanate of Oman. To this effect, the measurements of indoor environmental parameters were conducted in documents storage buildings of the Ministry of Manpower, and the Ministry of Municipalities and Water Resources. The recorded measurements were then compared with the available international standards/guidelines. The results indicated that most of the environmental factors inside these two buildings were found not within the stipulated standards.
