Abstract

Industry 4.0 (I4.0) drives the manufacturing sector to create many new concepts representing digitization, automation, and information and communication technology (ICT). Transition manufacturing enterprises from traditional systems to smart ones is very urgent. Implementation I4.0 represents several issues. The main goal of this research is to classify these challenges towards implementing Industry 4.0. These challenges will be discussed, showing their characteristics, specifications, elements, and parameters. In addition, the implementation level of manufacturing enterprises regarding adopting I4.0, which depends on these challenges, will be suggested and presented. The implementation level will be presented and illustrated through a numerical example.
