Abstract

Efficient power amplifiers are essentially needed in portable battery-operated systems such as mobile phones because the power amplifier is the most power consuming building blocks in the transmitter of these portable systems. This paper presents efficient techniques to increase the efficiency of the power amplifier as much as possible by degrading the power dissipation of the transistor in the mobile battery since the power loss in the transistor is a very critical issue in the mobiles. . This paper includes also the simulation results to test the matching network for different GSM frequencies 850MHZ, 900MHz, 1800MHz and 1900MHz. Much improvement in terms of higher efficiencies is achieved.
