Abstract

This paper addresses itself to the problem of cross polarization in off-set antennas with surface errors. The effect of surface imperfections on the cross polarization of axisymmetrical antennas was studied by a few workers (Ref: 1-3), however, off-set antennas received but little attention. It is the purpose of the present paper to characterize boresight and off-axis cross polarization of this important class of antennas which find wide application in satellite communication and radio astronomy.
