Abstract

This study analyses the economic damage resulting from high soil salinity levels in the irrigated lands of Bardenas I in Zaragoza, Spain. The STEM method, an interactive multi-objective programming technique, is used to represent the current situation with the corresponding salinity levels. The approach developed is then used to simulate the future situation. An economic analysis is carried out to demonstrate the feasibility of salt-affected soil reclamation.
