Abstract

This article presents the conjugate heat transfer in porous annulus being heated centrally at the inside surface. The phenomenon is studied with respect to conjugate heat transfer resulting due to presence of two solid walls that is one at inner surface and another at outer surface of annulus. The investigation is carried out numerically using finite element method. The results are presented for various widths of solid at inner as well as outer surface along with the different cases of thermal conductivity ratio between the participating solids.
