Abstract
A proposal for the classification and interrelated terminology of metamorphic rocks is suggested here to be based on mineral composition and texture, using an appropriate triangular diagram in a mica-feldspar-quartz-X tetrahedron, where X refers to any common metamorphic mineral group such as garnet and Al-silicates. The proposal is intended as a base for further discussion. -Author
