N2 - Semiconductors are crucial components of electronics devices. It has had incredible effects on nearly every sector of society. Semiconductor industry has worth of 476.7 billion US Dollar market worldwide with year growth rates of 15.9 percent. Semiconductors' industry is highly competitive. With 75.85 billion U.S. Dollars in revenue, Samsung Electronics becomes largest semiconductor chipmaker, leaving behind Intel with sales revenue of 69.8 billion U.S. Dollars. Currently, Semiconductor technology crossed the milestone 100.8 million of transistor's integration just on a node of less than 10 nanometers. However, the testing cost of integrated circuit is reaching almost to the same level of the manufacturing cost of the integrated circuit. The electronics control of automobiles, as well as the rising demand for automation in vehicles along with miniaturization of integrated circuit technology, system on chip are the driving attributes which brought the semiconductor market in the sector of automobiles. Enhancing of vehicle connectivity has provided up rise in the risks of potential cyber-attacks in the automobile industry. This issue has drastically demands increased customer's attention and awareness. Hence, requires urgent need for robust cybersecurity solutions in connected vehicles. Therefore, this talk highlights the importance and implications of automotive test, reliability, safety and security standard requirements. This presentation discusses the specific built in-system modes and highlights the benefits of selecting ISO 26262 certified solutions to ensure standardized levels of quality, safety and security requirements, amidst of fast accelerating time to market for today's automotive systems on chips.
