An alternative model for measuring E-readiness for developing countries: Applied to saudi organisations

Abstract

This paper is part of a research project to develop a comprehensive e-readiness assessment method for use in developing countries. Many international organizations conduct e-readiness assessments and many different e-readiness tools exist. These are a particular need to develop a comprehensive e-readiness assessment method directed specifically for use in developing countries. As a result of research already carried out as part of this project, a framework has been created adapting. The Bui, Sankaran and subastian; framework has been tested on a total of 87 public and private sector organizations in Saudi Arabia by means of a survey and the results are presented in this paper. This study is part of an ongoing research project being undertaken at the University of East Anglia in the UK.
