A vision for reconfiguring industrial organizations due to the globalrecession

Abstract

Due to the existing depression, industrial organizations in most of theworld require to be reconfigured and/or reorganized especially the manufacturingfirms (companies). As a consequence of this depression, great political andeconomical maybe changed and some companies will go out from business and otherswill be merged with other firms. Also, a big effecting will be represented inunemployment. The industrial organizations will start to deal intensively forbetter utilization of resources (e.g., equipments, machines, etc.) and humanresources. There are a lot of issues needed to be addressed to cope with thisdepression. The new manufacturing and management philosophies will be used indepth in the next period such as lean and agile principles, manufacturingstrategic planning, and a new organization structure, etc. In this paper, aframework for discussing visions of reconfiguring industrial organizations willbe explained and discussed. The analysis shows that reconfiguring thosecompanies is a multi-dimensional problem.
