Abstract

The synthesis of the new N,O,N′-tridentate ligand 8-(2-pyridylmethoxy)quinoline (2) is described. X-ray crystal structures of its mononuclear complexes with palladium(II) chloride, copper(II) chloride and nickel(II) nitrate are reported. The ligand acts as a flexible bidentate or tridentate ligand, according to the requirements of the coordinated metal.
