The importance of travel books made by Moroccans and other Levantines and Europeans is no secret to anyone, especially the old ones, they occupy a prominent place in the culture
Arabic, which enabled it to be one of the most important sources of knowledge of science and culture, has combined different reasons and reasons, urged people to the trip, and facilitated it, so trips abounded, and varied with the diversity of incentives and purposes scientific, religious, political, social and economic, and the popularity of travel literature. There is no doubt that the pages of these trips - despite the multiplicity of their purposes - presented many important aspects, in relation to the life of peoples, their temperament and customs, and provided documents and living evidence of what was the Arab civilization in its various eras, as it is a scientific, historical, geographical and literary wealth at the same time.
This research is a linguistic research, looking at the book "Filling the defect with what was collected along the backbiting in the relevant destination to the Two Holy Mosques Mecca and Taibah) - in the second and fifth parts of it - by Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Rashid Al-Fihri Al-Sabti, who died 721 AH, investigated by Dr. Muhammad Al-Habib Ibn Al-Khoja.
Accordingly, the title of the research was "the movement of language in the journey of filling the defect, including the collection of the length of backbiting by Ibn Rashid Al-Fihri Al-Sabti," seeking to show the role of language and its effectiveness, and to reveal the secrets of linguistic functions in the style of Ibn Rashid, and what he referred to from linguistic matters, in the texts exposed to him, whether by statement or hint, which indicates an awareness of the kinetics of language and its role. This is in addition to emphasizing the need to get out of the circle of repeating dry templates in the analysis of texts, and then to clarify the relationship between linguistic formations and meaning, through the style of the writer of the journey or through the linguistic matters presented to him, that is, linking these formations to the spirit of the language, the conditions of the creatures, their customs, their appearance and the subject of their mountain, and not being satisfied with just taking and simulating; Scrutiny and research in order to clarify and understand the text and clarify its truth.
Based on this modest understanding, I started from several premises - a scaling of the study, and then referred to the margin on what can be searched, and this research was not exposed to it - so the research represented to me after the introduction divided into a preamble and five sections, using heritage and modern research machines, and then the detectives came as follows:
The first topic: features of morphological awareness and its relationship to meaning.
The second topic. : Characteristics of structures.
The third topic: issues of lexicon and semantic.
The fourth topic: the features of good cohesion and Coherence or not.
The fifth topic: intertextuality and its role in the textual manifestation.
