Abstract
This study analyzes the contemporary transformations of Western Orientalism tackling Eastern cultures and their philosophical teachings. Its links these transformations with the principles of post-modern Western thought in a revealing mixture of philosophical hermeneutics and the philosophical content of Eastern teachings. Then, it calls for the repeal of European cultural narratives based on the euro-centrism, and seeks to overcome the spiritual emptiness and the void of meaning that resulted from the deconstructive tendency of Western thought. At the end it aspires to upgrade the value of Eastern concepts and terminologies that may offer spiritual fullness as a way to understand the meaning of existence and enroots the value of tolerance and cultural interaction.
