Abstract

The abuse against children is one of the most common problems in various societies and has historical roots from ancient times to the present. Omani society is one of those societies where the state works to address
social and legal institutions and the family. The study aimed to identify the manifestations and signs of abuse the factors leading to the occurrence of abuse against children from the point of view of teachers and parents.
The study was based on the pattern of descriptive studies through the simple random sampling method using the questionnaire tool to 150 parents and teachers and was finally applied to 131 parents and teachers with a response of 87.3%. The results of the study indicated that there is a high awareness of the respondents about the signs of abuse against children. Also, there is a high awareness of the respondents about the factors leading to the exposure of children to abuse as well as a high awareness of the effects of abuse against children.
