ممارسات اليقظة الاستراتيجية بجامعة السلطان قابوس: دراسة ميدانية

Abstract
The research aimed to develop the suggested actions to activate Strategic Vigilance Practices at Sultan Qaboos University, and that by standing on the theoretical foundations of Strategic Vigilance in universities, and recognize the sources of information at Sultan Qaboos University, determining the level of strategic vigilance practices at the university, as well as identifying the obstacles to implementing strategic vigilance at Sultan Qaboos University.
The study relied on the descriptive approach, and used a questionnaire developed by the researcher, the research sample consists of (45) faculty member from the academic leaders of the university and the study fell into a set of results, the most prominent of which are:
1- Sultan Qaboos University relies on several sources of information to achieve strategic vigilance largely, and economic changes came in first place for sources of vigilance information, while current or potential competitors came in the last
2- The level of practicing strategic vigilance at the university was of a moderate degree, and environmental vigilance came first, followed by technological vigilance, then commercial vigilance, while competitive vigilance came last.
3- The level of availability of obstacles to the application of strategic vigilance at the university was moderate.
