Abstract

The Arabic language has the prestige, honor and elevation in our souls that cannot be described or surrounded by an indescribable tide, because it is the language of the Holy Qur'an, that Easter language that its people used before it was recited using their linguistic style in communicating with each other, until the revelation of the Holy Qur'an, so there were many studies around it in various aspects, serving it. Sibawayh's book, subject dictionaries, dictionaries of words, and other books sought to preserve the language of the Qur'an and pay attention to it, within the framework of its memorization.
When the Islamic state expanded with the spread of Islam here and there, this resulted in the mixing of Arabs with others, and the entry of others into it, which led to the distortion of the colloquial classical Arabic, that distortion - or (mistake) - which spread and abounded on the tongues of the public and then leaked over time to the private tongues as well, so the sequence of books that are based on the mistake of the private over time, which resulted in the emergence of the so-called linguistic correction movement or what was termed the mistake of the public, and the literature rolled in this affair.
Since the books of linguistic correction have been destroyed by the former and the subsequent, and since the cultural background indicates that the linguistic correction is not limited to the writings dedicated to resisting the mistake of the public and private - but somehow the stomachs of dictionaries and linguistic sources contained some of these features - it was directed to Abu Bakr Muhammad bin Al-Qasim Al-Anbari (271-328 AH), and the consideration of his book (Al-Zahir in the meanings of people's words), was the source of this research; Those alerts in this book and analyzed in the light of the data of the linguistic lesson, which resulted in the division of his investigations on four sections: phonetic correction, morphological correction, grammatical correction, semantic correction, then the conclusion and the list of sources and references.
