Project Details
Description
Information and communications technologies (ICT) have become an important part of most Educational institutions and organizations these days. ICT refers to a diverse set of technological tools and resources used to communicate, create, disseminate, store, and manage information. The aim of this project is to explore the current status of using ICT in teaching and learning at SQU. The project will also recommend future plan that can motivate change and coordinate disparate efforts to advance the overall educational goals for the educational process at SQU. A sample of 500 faculty members will be selected using random sampling technique. A mixed qualitative and quantitative method will be used for this project. In order to collect the relevant data, a semi-structured questionnaire, interviews and observation checklist will be used. Statistical analyses will be conducted using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) to calculate descriptive statistics. The finding of this project may enable policymakers to make judgments on the current situation regarding the use of ICT in teaching and learning. In addition, it may provide baseline information which would enable them to ?provide high-quality ICT services and training that meets the needs of the University and its members? and to ?foster innovation and best practice in the use of ICT in teaching and learning across the University?.
