Description

This research project aims to build a proposed model to improve the efficiency of Basic schools in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of relative efficiency approach, and the research seeks to achieve the following objectives: 1 and ndash; Review available literature related to efficiency of the school and the nature of relative efficiency Approach. 2 - Analyze the reality of the relative efficiency of Basic schools in the Sultanate of Oman. 3 - Investigate the factors affecting the efficiency of Basic schools in the Sultanate and how it relates to school outputs. 4 and ndash; Suggest a proposed model to improve the efficiency of Basic schools in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of relative efficiency approach. the study will use the methodology of triangulation, it will employ more than one source of data, and more than one method and research tool. three tools will be used, the first, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) tool to measure the relative efficiency and estimate the efficiency of Basic schools compared to best practices in fact. additionally questionnaire with some administrators and teachers of the sample schools selected to explore their views on the factors affecting the efficiency and their suggestions for improvement , and third tool is the interview with some education experts in the Sultanate of Oman to explore their views also in the factors affecting the efficiency of Omani schools and suggestions for improvement. the study depend on a random sample representative of the Basic schools in Oman, and will use XLDEA 2.1 to envelope data analysis, SPSS program and Microsoft Excel to analyze data of questionnaire and interview. Upon analysis , research objectives will be tested, research questions will be answered, and proposed model for enhancementof the efficiency of The Basic education schoolswill be presented.
