ملخص
This paper presents the results of an experimental study on reinforced concrete slabs designed using the elastic stress fields at factored (ultimate) load, in conjunction with a yield criterion based on the normal moment criterion due to Johansen. In all, five slabs were tested. Four were simply supported and one had two adjacent sides simply supported while the opposite corner was a point support. The behavior of the slabs was found to be satisfactory both at working and at ultimate load. The average experimental ultimate load was 1. 17 times the ultimate load for which the slabs had been designed.
