ملخص
Posterior capsular opacification (PCO) is a common complication following cataract surgery in the pediatric age group. Despite various techniques to prevent its occurrence, cases often require postoperative Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy. Cases with PCO are described in which the Nd:YAG laser was ineffective in clearing the visual axis and pars plana capsulovitrectomy was performed to penetrate the thick pupillary membranes.
