ملخص
In this study we report the results of structural analysis and Mössbauer spectroscopy of the bulk alloy system Fe2Cr1-xVx (0 ≤ x ≤ 1.0). X-ray diffraction patterns of the samples show a single BCC phase, indicating that the alloys are atomically disordered. The lattice parameter for the BCC phase increases with increase in the V concentration. Mössbauer spectra show broad magnetic compounents corresponding to the existence of a distribution of hyperfine fields at the iron nucleus. The width of the hyperfine field is between 84 and 101 kOe, and the average hyperfine field is found to decrease with increase in the V concentration. The isomer shift for this system is negative indicating an increase in the electronic charge density at the iron nucleus. These results are explained in terms of the local effects of Cr and V atoms on the hyperfine interactions of this alloy system.
