N2 - Localized surface plasmon resonance system using a glass prism and a multi-layered chip is proposed as a detection of silver nanoparticles. The model is robust and very general. It can be used to alter different parameters of the sensor in a way that enables us to optimize its response for a particular analyte. We show that the use of chromium adhesion layers with a graphene layer at the silver-sensing interface leads to the detection of silver nanoparticles from their plasmonic amplitude (self-sensing).
