ملخص
1. The effect of ethanol consumption on the plasma concentrations of prolactin (PRL) and leutinizing hormone (LH) was investigated in turkey poults. 2. Ethanol (4–5% v/v in drinking water for 42 days) significantly increased the concentration of PRL, and tended to decrease that of LH. 3. It is suggested that the hyperprolactinaemia produced by ethanol might be due to its stressor action on the birds.
