ملخص

This paper discusses the heat transfer characteristics of mixed convection in a porous medium for aiding flow. The aiding flow refers to a condition when the applied velocity and the buoyancy help each other making it a assisting flow. The annulus is subjected to discrete heating of 20%, 35% and 50% at bottom of the annulus being heated with hot temperature and whole of the outer surface being cooled to cooler temperature. The whole phenomenon of mixed convection is simulated with respect to above said heating condition by using finite element method as solution tool. The results are predominantly discussed with respect to the mixed convection parameter such as Peclet number.
