N2 - This project is concerned with the design and development of a battery charger and charging management system that is capable of charging the multi-cell, series connected battery bank that will be employed by the Swinburne University of Technology electric car team. The system developed features three primary components: a controllable, variable power supply, an intelligent battery charger management system and a "per-cell" management circuit that is attached to each pair of cells in the electric vehicle battery bank.
