ملخص
This paper presents a coordinated control scheme for frequency regulation in an islanded microgrid having high penetration of renewables (Photovoltaic Power System, Wind Turbine Generator) along with a diesel generator, a battery energy storage system (BESS), and controllable loads. Although demand response through thermostatically controlled loads (TCLs) has good ability to regulate frequency in such microgrids, customers do not always cherish their manipulation. This paper considers the constraints in the manipulation of TCLs. The proposed coordinated control scheme regulates the system frequency in accordance with IEEE Standards 1547 using TCLs, Photovoltaic (PV) Power System, BESS, and diesel generator. IEEE 13 bus balanced industrial distribution network is modified and used for the simulation study in MATLAB/Simulink using Power Analysis Toolbox environment.
