ملخص
The present work is undertaken to investigate the conjugate heat and mass transfer in an annular vertical cylinder having a solid wall at the inner surface. A finite element method is used to solve the governing partial differential equations. The inner and outer surfaces are maintained at high and low temperatures, respectively. Emphasis is given in the current paper to investigate the effects of varying solid wall thicknesses and the thermal conductivity ratios between solids on porous mediums. The results are reported for both aiding and opposing flows. The effects of the buoyancy ratio, Lewis number, Rayleigh number, and the aspect ratio on the temperature and concentration profile are discussed. It is found that the increased thermal conductivity ratio increases the heat transfer rate.
