ملخص
The effect of nonuniform error distribution on antenna cross-polarization performance is investigated. Unlike the case of copolar performance, the accuracy of the reflector surface at the outer zones contributes considerably to the level of boresight cross-polar voltage. To maximize axial gain and cross polarization discrimination (XPD) thus requires minimizing surface errors in the region 1/3 the radius to the rim of the reflector. A circularly polarized antenna is assumed in the analysis. 3 refs.
