ملخص

The focus on Assistive Technology (AT) in the Sultanate of Oman teacher preparation programs is feeble and inadequate. Currently there is no empirical data available on the infusion of AT in teacher preparation programs in the Arab region in general and the Sultanate of Oman in particular. The aim of this article is twofold: (1) to provide a review of the AT competencies, (2) and to propose a model for developing AT competencies in the candidates enrolled in the Learning Disability Programs at SQU.
